Do you offer full event production services? YES! Karen Sorbo Productions was formed to provide full service event production and video production services to make your next event seamless, spectacular and successful!

How much do you charge as an auctioneer? Karen believes that charging a percentage can cause ethical problems in the non-profit arena. What has proven to work best for Karen is to have a tiered fee structure for live auctions. It has been very well received and accepted by many, many non-profits, because it does not leave out even the smaller ones. Please feel free to contact Karen for an example of the tiered auction fee structure. She is confident it will work for your organization.

Is there a required deposit?  Not for the auctioneer portion of the evening. Auction contract fees are due the day of the auction. If applicable, travel expenses are paid and arranged by the organization before the event.  Event production & video productions do require a deposit.

When do we need to book Karen? Karen is usually is booked one year in advance, as an auctioneer. Fundraising is very seasonal. The peak months run from September through November and then again in February through June. However do not let this deter you. Karen believes all things happen for a reason. If you call 3-6 months before an event, perhaps the date is still available and was meant to be.

How do we engage Karen’s professional auctioneer services?

Karen sends out a simple, one page auction agreement. She writes a personal letter of gratitude for each organization. This letter is not computer generated. She takes the time to write each and every letter to make it personal for every organization.

What does Karen think about consignment auction items?  Karen can help you find highly sought after, hard to find, unique auction items for use in your charity auction or fundraisers. These popular, exclusive packages allow you to only purchase what you sell, making it risk free. Ask us about auction items your donors will go crazy over, pay big money for and return year after year to purchase.

What is a Fund-A- Need? Fund-A-Need can be a huge money maker but ONLY if it is executed properly. This is Karen’s favorite part of the evening. Prior to becoming a fundraising auctioneer, Karen was and still is a motivational speaker. The gift of motivation, inspiration and commitment to the cause, has enabled Karen to be extremely successful at the Fund-A-Need portion of fundraising events.
